Remember the Deceased with Your Child

Even though you want to move on from the pain as part of grieving, you don’t want to forget very important people in your child’s life. This means that you have to remember them, writing and drawing out memories or talking about different stories that matter to each kid. You can activate positive feelings during grieving just by talking about great memories together, even ones that others haven’t heard. Pictures and music are a really great way to memorialize someone special in your child’s life. They may not have known that they used to love Iggy Pop back in the day or that their favorite song was actually by Simon and Garfunkel.
