Cold-Like Symptoms
Although influenza is much more than a cold, there are several symptoms that overlap. A person with influenza will often have classic signs of the common cold, such as sore throat, runny nose, watery eyes, and a cough.
A cold is nothing to worry about but influenza can rapidly become life-threatening. Go to the emergency department if your little one becomes wheezy or seems to be struggling to breath.
