Body Aches
Body aches are often the next symptom to set in. People who are developing influenza will feel a great deal of pain in their muscles and joints. Some describe it as feeling like you were hit by a truck!
This symptom can be subtle in young people. They will often appear more irritable or say they don’t feel well. A child has never experienced muscle aches so they will have a hard time describing this sensation.
