Pro #3: More likely to go on field trips
Centres are a lot less likely to take children away off the grounds to go out to in the community. Organizing such a large group of young children, finding volunteers, etc., can make it difficult to plan field trip in a centre. Part of the allure of a home daycare is they have a small group of children and are able to take trips to the park, the library, early learning groups, etc. Most home daycare providers have strollers or wagons that accommodate many children, or they have vehicles that fit the number of children they care for. This way your child has an experience that more so mimics what you would be doing at home and they are exposed to many different experiences within their community.
