Let’s be honest, the daily grind of child rearing can suck sometimes (A LOT). Days can feel like weeks, minutes can seem like hours. Some days it feels like you can’t get anything right- there’s a lot of crying, a lot of messes and a lot of craziness. However, a lot of people want babies. Many people want a lot babies. When parents look back at the years spent with their children, they always seem to remember the good stuff and they often complain it went by too quickly. Why? Your kids are so freaking cute, that’s why! Just when you think you couldn’t be anymore mad or stressed out, your child redeems himself. I always think to myself that if I could invent a camera that captured a feeling , like the love a parent has for her child in a single moment, the world would be a much happier place. Here are a few heart melting moments to look forward too.

Moment #1- The First Time You Bond With Your Baby

This doesn’t necessarily mean the minute the baby is handed to you. With my second baby it was definitely the first moment she was laid on my belly. She came out with no tears and just look up at me and snuggled right in, like she was always supposed to be there. With my first, it took a little but to establish our connection. It was a long labour, a lot of pushing and a few concerns with his breathing that kept us from just being with each other. Once I was finally able to hold him, I think I was the only one other than the doctors that held him for the first 24 hours. After everyone left and the chaos died down, we were finally able to just be with each other. The nurses told me to let him sleep in the bassinet and get some rest but I kept him with me all night. I never knew I could love something so much. Heart= Melted.
