Don’t Be Afraid Of Supports:
We do ASQs (ages and stages questionnaires) routinely. If the results show that outside supports could be helpful, please allow us to help. The supports offered in centre care (and licensed home care) are fantastic (and free) and not anything to be ashamed of. When we approach you with this information, please try to trust us. This is not something we would frivolously talk to you about (it’s a really tough conversation to have). If you think we’re wrong, see a specialist and have them prove us wrong. There is no harm in being assessed and sent away. Know that these supports do NOT mean there is anything wrong with your child, they allow us to do the best possible job helping with your child’s development.
