The listening game

This game tests their listening skills—with their eyes shut. But it can be a delightful game for preschoolers and kindergartners. Grab a few random miscellaneous items which you will use to make sounds. For example, a glass, pot, spoon, cymbals, or other items that clink or clank. Allow the kids to look at all the items before putting them away. Next, ask the first player to hide his or her eyes and listen as you make sounds with one or more chosen item. For example, you could tap the glass with a spoon. The player must guess which item(s) made the sound.
