You’re (most likely) going to feel lonely
You probably think that I am crazy here because you are never really going to be alone. There is going to be this baby with you ALL THE TIME! While this is true, being at home with your child can be lonely. No adult conversation some days, your spouse and friends are most likely at work, you have nowhere you HAVE to be. Sometimes, when you do go out to play groups or child-friendly things, you’re too shy to talk to anyone. It’s like being in elementary school all over again! Be sure to get out of the house when you can. There are a lot of great free programs in the community that you can find. I found that a lot of moms at home with kids are happy to chat and set up playdates (which is really just moms sitting around drinking coffee and laughing about baby poop and being sleep deprived).
