Try not to compare your baby to other babies

This one is really hard! When parents get together, they tend to talk about their children a lot and share notes. We tend to talk a lot about the new skills our children have learned. Throughout the early years, especially, there are so many milestones that happen so fast. The reality is that no two children are alike and all children are going to learn, grow and hit milestones at different times. So don’t worry if two babies at playgroup are crawling and your baby just wants to sit and play in one spot. All babies do things at different times. If you have any serious concerns, obviously talk to your doctor, but be patient- enjoy watching your child grow and try not to worry too much about “keeping up” with others.
