#8- Solo Playtime
While it is important to spend time with your children- get down to their level, play with them, sing with them, be silly with them. It is also important for children to be able to play by themselves- figure things out on their own, be independent. Encourage this independent playtime and relish it. Use it to make dinner, get some things done around the house, go to the bathroom alone, or just out your feet up and drink your coffee and enjoy watching your child play.
