#7- Sleep

Being sleep deprived is one of the more difficult parts of being a mom. Until you experience the sheer exhaustion and inability to catch up on sleep, it’s hard to understand how much it effects most aspects of your life. Sleep deprivation can make you irritable, affect your memory, ability to make decisions and your motivation. It can also make you feel hungry all the time and lead to weight gain. Some people, like me, are blessed with wonderful kiddos that seem to hate sleep. Find ways to try and catch up. Ask for help, take opportunities to nap when possible, take turns on the night shift. When you can’t get enough sleep, make sure you eat healthy meals, get lots of fresh air, drink lots of water and try to keep busy.
