#7- Sometimes Breastfeeding Sucks
Breastfeeding is tricky. It seems as though breastfeeding would be completely natural. However, breastfeeding is tough and requires a lot of work. Some people have an easier go than others. My first experience was hell. My nipples hurt, my nipples bleed, I could barely wear a shirt. I saw lactation consultants and doctors, went to clinics and support groups, got tongue clips and lip clips and it never quite felt right. My second experience was COMPLETELY different. Every baby is different and every experience is different. If you are struggling, seek help within the community. The best advice I every received was “do what is best for you and your family”.
