#2- You’ll still look pregnant

No one leaves the hospital in their prenatal body- NO ONE. A woman will immediately lose some of the pregnancy weight simply by giving birth (the weight of the baby, the placenta and the amniotic fluid). Over the next few weeks, a woman can also expect to lose the weight of the extra fluid in her body that built up during pregnancy. Weight can be a hot-button issue for most women. Be kind to yourself and be realistic. You just carried a human being for 9 months! Weight loss will take time. It is not healthy to diet or exercise immediately after childbirth. Eat healthy foods (and lots of them when you are breastfeeding), drink lots of water and sleep as much as you can. Also, remember that the overall shape of your body will be different. Your clothes may not fit simply because your shape is different.
