#10- Soreness EVERYWHERE

There will be obvious pain after birth: vaginal pain or incision pain. There will be a lot more pain as well. Labour is hard work. Pushing is hard work. I remember waking up after a nap and could barely move my muscles were so sore from pushing and tensing my muscles. Also, those little babes that are so tiny and seem weightless, get heavy after a while. Also, breastfeeding for long periods of time on and off all day can cause a lot of strain on your neck and and back and arms. There are after pains and breast engorgement and stitches and hemorrhoids and painful bowel movements. If you had an epidural, these pains may hit you all at once when it wears off. Take your ibuprofen, use heating pads, make your breastfeeding spot comfy with pillows and blankets and schedule a massage as soon as you can. Take care of yourself so you can better take care of your baby.
